Have a lovely traditional, Danish lunch in Café & Ølhalle “1892” or host your event in the cozy and authentic environment of the restaurant.

The Restaurant in the cellar of the Workers Museum is the only listed cellar tavern in Copenhagen. The historical room have been restored to match the way it looked in 1892. The kitchen cooks as in the good old days.  Chopping, pickling, roasting and boiling smells delicious and cements the cornerstone idea of the restaurant: That everything was homemade then and thus must be today. The restaurant strives also to serve only organic and sustainable products.

For lunch we serve our popular open-faced sandwich buffet – buffet of smørrebrød. All of our smørrebrød are served on individual plates freshly made during the day. The selection changes from day to day but always consist of 22 different kinds of smørrebrød. This way you get to try all kinds of flavours. We welcome vegetarians and will always have delicious veggie alternatives available.

If you choose to host your event or party in the restaurant the staff can help combine your wishes whether it be traditional Danish dishes or features dishes from international cuisines. We have creative and listening kitchen staff and we will do our very best to meet all your needs.
